On January 8, 2019, I was sworn in as the Representative for the 66th District. I am humbled and honored by the support I have had from my God, my family and friends. I am also grateful for my many, many supporters.

This session promised to be memorable. The pension crisis still looms and a bipartisan working group has been formed to look at all options. The meetings begin this week and can be viewed on Tuesday and Thursday at 9:30am on KET. The legislature will also be addressing education tribunals and site-based decision making councils. Still, other bills will address the legalization of medical marijuana, tax reform  and many other issues of public interest.

I will be serving on the following committees:  Education; Veterans Affairs; Licensing and Occupations and Judiciary, appointed as Vice Chair.   Currently, the legislature is in recess until Tuesday, February 5, 2019. In the interim, there is still much work to be done.

I look forward to hearing from my constituents. I am hopeful to meet with as many groups and individuals as possible.

Thank you for entrusting me to represent you in the 66th District and all citizens in the Commonwealth of Kentucky.

Sincerely,  C. Ed Massey
